We find that when we reach forward in surrender to the activity that the universe presents, we become more beautiful in our actions. The whole of creation sings and the elements ring to your frequency as your attunement is complete.
This sanuy is another wonderful posture that works the entire spine. Geb means time is generally depicted as a man and a personification of the Earth. The Earth operates and spins on axis with two poles; it is in fact quad-polar known as the 4 cardinal points East, West, North and South. We also have this within our bodies. The spinal twist is the seeking of Union between the two, and in full 4 poles Earth and Sky male and female and east and west. The movement and hesi (mantra) during this posture ‘Yaa Geb’ stimulates rejuvenation throughout the spinal cord it replenishing the body’s nervous system enhancing your immunity to diseases.
We are bending to create a circle the circle represents our ability to embrace eternity as this is the meaning of Shen which is a feminine principle; a representative of the Yin in the Chinese Daoist philosophy. Shen in Chinese religion is a term for God. In ancient Afrika Tama-Re this term ‘Shen – eternity’ became the representation of the ring placed on the finger especially given during marriage ceremonies. Shen is the loop on top of the Ankh which is the cosmic womb and also the symbol of the Sun. This loop is a circuit as the wheel sanuy, and it provides energy and enhanced strength to the back forearms. Do not be disheartened if you are unable to achieve this posture first time. It takes practice and with each attempt your back will be strengthened and your internal organs stimulated. You can refer back to ‘Kubru – the bridge’ to help you build up the strength and suppleness in the spine.
Kubru – The bridge opens up the thighs, and this engages with Anubu principle the bridge between the heaven and earth, the lungs are in line with the Neter of the air Shu known as the principle of breath. The breath to the ancient ones was known as the bridge between life and death and the posture stimulates the thyroid dealing with Ptah – opener of the way. We can now find that our being as now a safe passage to cross.
