10 Years of Afrikan Yoga A Celebration 7th of November 2017
November 5 @ 9:00 pm - 10:30 pm
When I embarked on my yoga journey seriously it was with the intent to firstly heal myself and to help others in their own healing, it was a journey not of discovery but of Love. I wanted to truly understand the human condition in the body first and this for me was all I wished for. I had sat at the feet of masters for 12 years studying and began to step onto my own path in the unravelling of the system born out of thousands of hours of meditations, inspiration, prayer, chanting and physical training. I was then encouraged after 3 years of working on myself to teach and now for 14 years I have taught Tama-re Smai Taui Afrikan Yoga; firstly to people in the African/African Caribbean communities then opened the system’s doors on to all the communities of the world. It was in 2007 I completed the Afrikan Yoga A Practical Guide To Wellbeing Through Smai Posture, Breath and Meditation book just before this article in Time Out London Magazine below was written about my particular form of yogic teaching. I am continously humbled by Tama-re Smai Taui Afrikan Yoga’s reach and has been taught in Uganda, Kenya, Morocco, Egypt, Tanzania, Ghana, Sierra Leone, Germany, France, US, Netherlands, Jamaica and even Singapore and I am sure it will continue to flourish. I have been blessed through the help and challenges I have received on this path. I have been delighted by the smiles and laughter shared with teaching so many people from all over the world and enthralled by the way they have received Afrikan Yoga with great enthusiasm and surprise. The system itself is indeed a wonderful ancestral, cosmic gift to which more is to come. Yesterday November 2nd 2017 I received a message on social media from a man saying “I had cancer, and your book alone with Dr Sebi’s herbs healed me” You can bet we spoke over the phone after this and he showed me the pictures of the tumour he had in his bowel a cancer my own brother passed away from in 2010 and back then his life was prolonged by 3 years with a change of diet and Smai techniques I shared with him. This young man over the phone spoke with such conviction and explained with is medical notes, picture of a tumour the size of a golf ball, how he used the herbs from the late great Dr Sebi and how he used my book Afrikan Yoga to rid himself of the cancer and achieve optimal health in only two months. I knew the practice could achieve great and powerful health combined with the right nutrition and mind set. Yet for the first time someone presented themselves as evidence. This in itself is a cause for celebration as well as our celebrating our own journey into health. I invite you all to come and join us for Afrikan Yoga 10th Year of being above ground and in the public eye.
We come together to break bread and give thanks. Tuesday 7th November 2017 9pm at Diweni Bhel Poori House, 121-123 Drummond Street, Euston, London NW1 2HL
